Kenya's version of CNN was in front of Mercy Care this morning. They used our building to have a "Peace Meeting," trying to iron out problems in the valley since the govt. seems to be giving no help. I was in high school room when suddenly about 50 young men rushed in for a meeting--surprised. Outside I asked the announcer to move to the side so I could get a good picture for my blog.

Is that the PTA president in the back ground of the man speaking? You are are working hard and I hope you are taking some time to enjoy the children, the teachers, and Patrick. We miss you and love the fact we are so connected to your trip through the pictures and posts. Have you done any voice recording?
Love,
Bethany
Wayne and Betsy,
I am loving your photos and descriptions of your activities since arriving! I am so glad you are researching so much about how we can help the teachers and children in more specific ways! You've got great plans going! I'm delighted the Rotary folks there are so supportive. Please give my love to Patrick and Pamela. You are both in my prayers!
Love,
Pat Fitzgibbons
Wayne: Thanks for sharing this photo. We will continue to pray for Peace in the Valley. How are things as you travel on the road into the valley? It is as busy as it was in July? Do they still have the little shops along the road? How is the crowd? I remember Carroll making several comments in July about how small the crowds were then compared to earlier years due to the unrest. I was wondering if that has changed much? This is an interesting photo. Maybe more people will become aware of the peace efforts and all that is going on within the MCC as a peacemaking ministry among the various tribes in the valley. Thanks for keeping us informed. We are praying for you each day. May God Bless you and Betsy with a wonderful, peaceful Psalm Sunday. I would love to be in Patrick's church tomorrow for that special service. I am assuming that all is well in his church after the unrest. Give Patrick a big hug for us.
With love,
The Greenes in NC
